Für die regionale Entwicklung sind die EFRE Fördermittel sehr unterstützend. Die Entscheidung in neue Technologien wie den 3D Metalldruck, die Ultraschallbearbeitung etc. zu investieren wurde uns durch EFRE enorm erleichtert.
Dadurch können wir in der Region Mitarbeiter welche technisches Know How und Hausverstand verbindet bei uns am Standort ausbilden.
In additive manufacturing, also known as generative manufacturing, workpieces are produced layer upon layer through laser sintering, whereby metal powder is melted layer by layer using a laser beam.
In contrast to subtractive manufacturing, i.e. CNC machining, additive machining enables highly complex components to be manufactured in one piece. This makes it feasible to create shapes which would otherwise be all but impossible to manufacture. SLM processing also offers a high degree of flexibility when producing, which is particularly important when dealing with spare parts and prototypes.
